I'm not a guy in tech support, I'm referring to @Home's former Cable Modem service. There's not too many people in our neighborhood w/ cable modems, so we USED to get good service(before they went bankrupt). Then when they switched their modem from the original big gray box to the surfboard modem, service got exponentially worse(no connection for days on end, 1K/sec DL when there is connect. When I called them, it turns out I knew more about their cable modem then their highest rated on-duty techie guy...
