thats what i do too - usually thats enough to extract anything - never had to add the -P flag. yeah i'm still looking at perl - haven't played with it much lately tho - have some other stuff to read up on at work (which may eventually involve perl). but when i looked at the ars stuff - it looked like it was all perl (except for the readme-type stuff, some html template pages and the CVS info). gonna look at setting it up on my box at home. eventually i'm going to get my website fluckers.com set up and running from my home box.
