I can't wear earplugs though. I think I have small canals in my ears as I get earaches from them. I have now learned to sleep with my computer fans going, fan in my room, or little heater I have. But any noises beyond that (I'm used to neighbourhood noises but anything "new" wakes me) or rain wakes me. I also don't sleep well if much light gets in. So when I chose my room in this house I chose it on the side that gets the least light. My window also has both blinds and curtains.
