about a year or so ago - we had a consultant in to analyze the hospital's IT strategy and such - anyhow - we had a staff meeting on thursday and our boss made like everything was hunky-dory - the next morning we came in and there was an email from the consultant informing us of a special meeting at 8am. we looked and every one in the department was on the list but our boss - we wondered and showed up at the meeting with the CEO, Director of HR and the consultant. the CEO informed us that she ahd accepted our boss's letter of resignation late the day before. (found out later he really had been fired)
