"A Study in Scarlet" and "The Man with the Twisted Lip"
In a Study in Scarlet, the title of part one is "Being a Reprint from the Reminiscences of John H. Watson, M.D., Late of the army medical dept."

During the opening page of The Man with the Twisted Lip Mrs. Watson refers to her husband as James.
