"London's most beloved landmark, the clock tower known as "Big Ben" sits atop the Houses of Parliament. Here's some London trivia to impress your friends: The true name of the tower is not "Big Ben," but St. Stephen's Tower. "Big Ben" isn't even the name of the clock itself; it is the nickname of the tower's 13-ton bell on which the hours are struck. It was named for Sir Benjamin Hall, Commissioner of Works when the bell was installed."
