and they really weren't scared at all. I've always drawn a line between suspense and gore with them and they've seen many movies that others won't let children their age see. But we talk about it before and after, which helps - My kids can watch something, like the orcs, and usually tell whether it was makeup or computer graphics. Is it right for all kids? Certainly not. I wouldn't take my daughter's twelve year old best friend because she's much more impressionable. And I did go see it one opening day without the kids in tow, so that I could prepare them for what to expect...
