REVIEW: Lord of the Rings by Illiad2006-11-19 12:55:59

Well it sounds great! I can't wait to go see it!!! Everything I've read or seen makes it sound great. I'm surprised that they didn't do The Hobbit first. The first portion of
"Fellowship" makes much more sense with the prelude of the hobbit. I got much more out of the argument between Bilbo and Gandalf with the prelude of the hobbit. I'm hoping that maybe after all 3 movies they'll go back and do The Hobbit as a prequel. (Hopefully)

While I'm on the topic of fantasy, I've become totally disgusted with some of my fellow christians who are condemning it (and Harry Potter, too) as being sacrelige. I don't look at it as sacrelige, I look at it as a story, a *fictional* story, that takes place in a *fictional* time and place. Is the sorcery and witchcraft and so on in the story? Yes. After all, this is a fantasy story. Besides I've come to realize that kids are much better at distinguishing between reality and fantasy than most adults I know. (sorry about the rant)
