You'll enjoy it a lot, but probably on different levels than a die-hard fan. I went in a group of 7, with all different levels of involvement. Everybody had a blast, from the people who almost have the books memorized to those who haven't read them in awhile (me) to those who didn't realize that it was based on a book (English is his third language). Go and see it. If you like fantasy, this is a great movie.
