REVIEW: Lord of the Rings by Illiad2006-11-19 12:55:59
I had a few more issues than Illiad. by Diablessa 2001-12-21 10:30:19
Though I agree VERY much with his opinion of the casting for Galadriel. Oddly enough, most of the other issues I have are related to that particular part of the movie.

1) The cloaks and pins. If you've read the books/seen the movie, you'll know what I'm talking about. You have to watch for them or you'll miss is, and they're a relatively important thing throughout the course of the books.

2) Rope. Sam Gamgee forgot to bring rope, which is NEVER mentioned in the movie, but will become immensely important in Mordor.

3) The love scene. Please. It wasn't that important in the book, I don't understand why they're putting it into the movie. Bah.

There were some other cuts/changes I didn't entirely agree with, but I understand why they were made. I'll be posting a complete rant in my diary by 0800 server time, so if anyone WHO HAS ALREADY SEEN THE MOVIE is interested, (yeah right...;) feel free to drop in & comment & rant to your heart's content.
