RE: a history of chocolate gas... by SouthpawPL 2001-12-04 22:32:45
Chocolate gas was banned by the Treaty of Belgium in 1958. Deemed a cruel and unusual weapon because it could be sprayed far from enemy troops, and they would voluntarily move to within it's scalding vapors.

The only defence ever developed was aerosol ice-cream. But this was deemed too radical to consider using because of the severe Cold-War restrictions on transport and storage of Maraschino cherries.

Thus, Chocolate Gas was relegated to the secure U.N. storage facilities with such other unthinkable weapons of mass destruction as Atomic Fireballs, pickle-relish gas, and Howard Cosell.
