"Christian name" not a common term by mikosullivan2001-12-04 07:26:44
Christian name ticks me somewhat off too. by MenThal 2001-12-04 08:12:45
Which is why I tend to use "firstname". I'm not a Christian, but Norway is quite saturated with christian traditions and influences. I was baptised as a kid, but when time came for the confirmation (around age 16,) I opted for a non-religious alternative, and got myself removed from the "state-church".

But I think I'll start using "given name", as implicitly suggested by Atanamis. (Or should that be "given names"?)

Or better yet, spell out... full_name[0...-1]
