linux help.. by deess 2001-12-04 01:23:14
How do I set the time on a linux box...
I usally use "rdate -s timehost" and make it run once a day with cron.
However, the box i'm working on now resets it's time to 1980 (bad battery) at reboot...I cant access any timeservers (behind heavely guarded firewall)

All I need is to set the time once, to be frank I feel stupid not knowing the command....:)
