1) It's ALWAYS funny when Stef gets his just desserts;
2) Stef IS a zombie slave...(you, me, and a stick of butter!);
3) "Don't know much about Ms. Sarah McLaughlin"... but I do know
that Illiad has never been in the school of photo-realism, so...

4) MALE/FEMALE violent assault : do you really think that women
beat up men as often as men beat up women? most of us see humor
in this situation because a) it is Stef, and he deserves it;
b) it is only implied; no actual bloodshed is shown;
c) the turnabout factor -- 'dog bites man' is not news, but
'man bites dog' IS newsworthy;
d) the inequities of male/female relations is ancient and
nearly universal, even the principles of equality are recent
innovations. When equality has reigned for 10 generations,
people may find no humor in this situation.....
Finally, while I may disagree with your comments, I would not
dismiss them out of hand as trolling or flamebaiting... |
