I know it's been covered before, but... by newroot2001-11-25 16:12:07

I'd visit there but... by Arienadean 2001-11-25 20:02:02
no hostmask mangling on undernet... and while I'm sure the people here are ok. :) the particular person that was bothering me and my boyfriend before... he and two others(that got banned from 2 servers) go and hang on undernet channels... So unless I could find a proxy or whatever that would hide my hostmask I wont go on there... I typically only to to servers that do host mask mangling (aka mode +x)... I don't care if channel ops or ircops know my ip or people I know well enough but I'm not about to be hassled as I was in past by those problem people. I also like the fact that some servers have "services" that will allow you to send friends "memos" if off (aka memoserv) or will reserve/register your nick name(they also will hide user info and other switches for people with that nickname but you need to ident to them to use your nickname once registered). Chanserv also alows for creation and maintenace of channels by those that wish to create them. Many of the smaller networks that have the services tend to have rules(typically family friendly ones)... ie no warez or trading of copywrite material and no s*xual type stuff.(ie no netting)
