Hi I'm about your height(only 1/2 in taller actually). I know from fat testing and bone structure stuff we had to do in science, gym, etc... That your weight for the average bone structure is actually pretty normal. Its actually the average weight of a female 5ft 4 tall with medium bones I think(130-135). For small bones its 120-125. And for large boned its 140-145. People in those weight ranges with those particular bone structures wouldn't be fat they'd be "medium"... Mildly obese is 20-30 lbs or so over your ideal(average) weight...<shrug> So your mom obviously has a real "barbie doll" image of what you should be... not very healthy... :( And frankly she's out of line she should love you for who you are... your her daughter.
As for clothing so what? Just wear whats comfortable and feels right to you. The people that care about you and like you don't do it because of what you do or don't wear... Your mom should back off... And well you could be wearing something really revealing, etc. Hmmm maybe next time you see her you should go totally Goth or wear something that shows pretty much everything and say "look mom I took your advice... don't you like this better?" The drastic change from what you may usually wear will make a point perhaps...(btw I do like goth cloths and some punk cloths tho not into the makeup... I used to dress punk years ago off and on... and actually my mom who was born in 1926 never complained about my cloths for the most part... oddly she liked my fashion sense.)
Hmm well your uni stuff is following your dreams, etc not hers its your life. Your all grown up and if she thinks certain things should be taken because she wants it perhaps she should go back to school and follow her dreams.(re your mom).
On your boyfriend its 2001 not the olden days.. Women can some times buy for guys and visa versa or costs split... not a big deal. Actually I found the old system tho nice in one way not fair to guys.(usually I'd buy for my boyfriends or take turns, etc...) Being taken care of? Well you can probably take care of yourself and in a good relationship its looking out for eachother and not one sided... Sheesh re your mom...
Eh I think the computer stuff is normal but then my family thinks its weird too... But I figure its because they aren't as tech aware and the majority of my family is older than me. My sister is 5 yrs older and tho has a computer isn't very tech at all... My brother is 4 yrs older and more tech but I don't see/hear from him much. My parents had me when they were 41 and 47... so alot of my cousins etc are old enough to be my parents and much family has passed on or is elderly. When I visit my mom I have to help fix the remote for the mini dish, etc... I used to have to set the vcr and fix watches. They don't grasp tech stuff as they don't deal with it and they are bombarded by media negativity.(seems the media likes to only list off the bad side of the net)...
Seems like your moms got some weird ideas... She wants some modern things yet some things that are from the olden days. And that was just mean to make the comparision between you and your sister that way. :/ One day she'll regret her comments but probably will be awhile before she realizes the hurt and frustration she caused you with them... I know I've seen it and been through it myself.(tho now have worked things out with my mom, etc).
Anyhoo.... {{{{Sehmket}}}} Your moms outta line... and there are people that like you for who you are... you don't have to be some barbie doll or fit up to some standard... just be yourself. :) |
