Ooops. by Arcanum 2001-11-25 11:12:39
I did something dumb whilst setting up my SuSE system. I set a root password, and promptly forgot it. (Hey, it was 2am, I wasn't entirely awake...)

Anyway, my question is: Does anyone know of a way to reset a Linux root password other than reinstalling the entire system? I'd rather not reinstall, since I spent a good hour and a half (at least) selecting exactly what packages I wanted, not to mention the install time on such an old system...
