Skeegenin had it right: people take things too seriously. Good lord, you take things here as a personal slight. It's people that you've (mostly) never met and (likely) never will. Does it matter THAT much if they're nitpicking something you did two days ago?

For that matter, does it matter THAT much if someone aims for first post? They're moderated, explained by the moderator, and we move on. I do agree with Naruki in principle on the matter that...do we have to jump all over every person who deviates from the rules? It's just a freakin' comment board. If someone first posts or trolls, it's not the end of the world. In a day, you won't ever have to see it again. adiplomat, I'll also offer that (in my own opinion) all too often you come across as a right bastard when replying to first posters or trolls. But it's nothing to get all bent out of shape over, certainly, and I've kept my own thoughts on the matter to myself thusfar. I do this partly because you're much like Naruki - gotta have the last word, gotta come across as the smarter person, gotta pick at every point, even the ones the other person didn't mean to make. It's tiresome from both parties, and not worth reading.

Damn, you two. Get along or don't reply to each other. It's that easy. You both have much to offer to the board as a whole, and it surely would be a shame to lose any of it over something so trivial. But alas, since you both seem so keen on taking everything so bloody seriously, it likely won't happen. I've seen it happen before, and it'll happen again.
