Help a Linux Newbie.. by bk_jamin 2001-11-14 21:18:57
So I have moved out of the house(about time). One of the things I was really looking forward to was giving Win2000 the boot and switching to a Linux OS. So I go to Redhat and they want like 149 or 169 for their system. Then I had to Mandrake they offer a free copy but it seems like you have to individually download some 200+ files. Am I misreading the instructions? Is there an easier way to start? Or should I just bite the bullet and hand over my credit card number? Help please..
