| is plenty stable for the average home user. (I know Win2k is not supposed to be a home OS, but the fact of the matter is that it makes a darn good home OS.) Cost isn't really an issue, because most people already have an MS operating system. If you want to learn Linux, set up the system to dual-boot, or get a new system to play with. Emulation just seems awfully pointless if most or all of your software is Windows. If most of your software is Linux and you only use a couple Windows programs, or if you really, really need to be able to run both Linux and Windows software at the same time, then things might be different. |
