At approximately 12:15 MST yesterday, 11/14/2001, Pihost, a Red Hat Linux 7.1 box, has been pronounced dead due to CPU failure. The fan had ceased to work a week before(pretty sure), and the machine had keeled over then (wouldn't respond to anything), but I hadn't figured out the cause of death until 11/14/2001. The root hd and the swap hd appear to be intact, as well as the power supply, RAM, and the video and ethernet cards.
The computer teacher will provide me with a new machine soon, and it will no longer be a linux machine, but a Tribes server (w00t)
