8 meg Java Application down to a 950 K Applet. Managed to keep all the key functionality and got rid of the unnecessary bells and whistles. Applet runs fine and does every thing it needs too. Testers still complaining about download times but sales says the applet will add an extra million to the company bottom line next year. Project was finished last week on Thursday. Boss said it couldn't be done and gave me till Dec 31 before he would put me on another project. Two previous developers had failed to do this. I felt that pretty good Thursday night.
