...so does Microsoft, if it's implemented right. I've seen SQL perform admirably, and a properly set-up NT server can do nicely as well.

90% of the BSOD nightmare tales people tell have to do with Win9x, and Win9x is crap. On the enterprise end, you don't see it nearly as much, and most of it is because some lamebrained NT admin didn't have the sense to change the default settings.

Which, mind you, is much the same reason many RedHat servers are insecure...
