Yesterday and today I've seen a documentation TV movie about one of the biggest kidnappings in german history. In 1978 one man kidnapped the son of germany's most popular food company and demands 21 Million Deutschmarks (about 10 Million US$ in 1978!). After 48 hours that man got his money and the kidnapped man was freed seriously injured. The kidnapper was found 6 months later and after two years and a lawsuit he has been prisoned for 15 years, even though he did not make any confession. After leaving jail in 1995 he left Germany and went to London where he still tried to change the old bank notes into valid ones (in 1990 Germany got new bank notes). Scotland Yard arrested him again with about 12.4 Million Deutschmarks. The kidnapped man still suffers from his injuries in 1978.
Interesting story that I did not understand well before, but now I do it much more. I hope I did not bore you with that :)
Get well with your file servers ;) I know the feeling with compiling and debuggung, 'cos my Omnicode application in Java rises and rises. Are you interested in beta testing if it is in a relative stable state soon? ;)
