You can't just take away words. You have to supply a reasonable alternative. And you're suggestions open up a whole new can of worms. What do you call bad biological parents?

Your point is well taken, but arguing that the term itself is bad begs the question "why?" The answer is probably not too surprising.

Personally, I've had two step-fathers and two-step mothers. The current ones are right enough, especially without me living with them. In fact, I really like my step-mom, and my real mom too. Am I supposed to dislike one parent because they no longer live in the same house?

We gotta keep our words. If you take exception to the term "for" or "while" in your loops, how will you distinguish them? What about the term "break". That one sounds a bit rough inside a program, but without it we're forced to use the word "goto", and that will get you a larting.
