| I got my 4-year bachelor's in computer science from Washington University in St. Louis, one of the top five CS programs in the country. I learned about programming language development, approximation algorithms, design patterns, advanced OO methodologies, neural networks, circuit design, and of course all the other stuff that goes into a four year degree. I came out having learned Scheme, C++, awk, perl, MC68000 assembler, VHDL, and OpenGL. I think in the entire time I've been working, so far I've used what I got from my college experience once, when I decided to write out a pseudocode version of mergesort for old times' sake. My guess is that a lot of other people here can relate. |
