Why I deserve to be wealthy:
A short essay by Sehmket
I deserve to be wealthy because I am a college student. As such, I am presented with numerous study-abroad programs requiring money (Study in Kenya over winter break – approximately $1500. Study in Paris, June – approximately $2000. Study in London, July-August – approximately $2600. Honors Program Cultural Trip to Toronto, over winter break - $225. National Catholic Student Coalition Annual Convention, Minneapolis, over winter break - $100. Guess which two I’m doing. ). In addition, I am interested in building my cultural prowess locally (Lexington Ballet - $26. Lexington Opera - $36). Additionally, I would like to enhance my ability to effectively study by ways of a high-quality computer system, including, but not limited to, new speakers (including subwoofer), a new processor, and a second (larger) hard drive, all for the purpose of, uh…, improving my hand-eye coordination using the greatest tutoring program available (Quake). Next, reading is part of any college student’s education. Unfortunately, books tend to be out of my current budget. Were I to be wealthy, I would be able to buy texts of the highest caliber (leather-bound edition of the complete works of Lovecraft). Finally, as a college student, there are many miscellaneous expenses that I must cover (poker night).
Oh, yea, and that tuition, room, and board stuff.
