that (according to pecosdave) it is a 5 1/4 inch length, which means it MUST be for concealed only, meaning that you can carry UNconcealed weapons, including double edged blades. (Most kitchen knives come in lengths of over 5 1/4 inches, surely they aren't illegal?) Only when they are concealed do they become illegal. Thus, unless you placed the sword inside your coat or pants, they should not be able to stop you, unless you go somewhere they wouldn't allow it, such as into a bank, or a bar.
