...but the chip would. There have been several tries to make CD-ripping impossible. What if someone would develop some 'unbreakable' protection? It would certainly stop people from trading MP3's (and Ogg's) over the internet and so many people would like such a protection ("Hah! Now these geeks can't break the law anymore! Now CD's will get cheaper for me, also."), but would it be right to make those few with special needs like mine to suffer for what some criminals do?
