Worked for me in High School. by pecosdave 2001-11-09 12:30:41
I was an insomniac from infancy until after I graduated. My parents made me go to bed at 9 or 10, but I wouldn't get to sleep until about 4 am. During that time I would often experience "waking dreams" since I didn't sleep my mind constantly cycled through 1,000s of subjects constantly linking, associating and comprehending concepts, almost like not being able to shut my mind down. Over time this jacked up my IQ and questions that I couldn't answer the previous day would be resolved in the morning. I began experienceing things discussed more in the question of the day as well, but I wont discuss those on a board, lets just say I know where Arienadean is coming from. I feel as though insomnia is a lot of what made me who I am today. I'm not an insomniac anymore, why did this quit suddenly after High School? I attribute it to my not being able to lay in bed for 8 hours a day and an irregular bed time. Jobs are great aren't they? Another note, a lot of the funky abilities that belong under the Question of the Day are weaker or no longer present in me now. If I didn't have to wake up at 4:00am I would attempt to start this again but not being home until 6:00pm makes it hard. I've got to have some sort of life outside of work.
