But eh I live in Coquitlam. I did however live down on Argyle a bit but I had a newborn baby to deal with and didn't get out much. When I did it was Golden Swan or similar in the victoria/argyle area. Now if I was asked what's not bad in Coquitlam I could probably answer... When I go to vancouver now well it's usually the Vancouver Public Library Central branch and on rare occasions Science World, Chinatown, or Stanley Park.(I go where transit does basically and where mood, funds and kids allow depending on things). At VPL central branch (the place that looks like a roman colloseum... there is a link in my omni code) there is a sushi place in it, Mc D's, Subway near, pizza, yogenfruz, coffee shop, and a subway cross the road if I remember right). I really like that library... :)
For BBS meets we used to go to Fresgo's in Surrey and French Quarter pub (down the road from me). For one of the special needs groups(that I used to go to for my son) we'd meet sometimes around Moxies(in that mall on 6th I think it was) in New West or the New West Library. Occasionally met others from bbs'ing also at New West Quay.
Btw on the map I saw on mybc.com (btw that site gives reviews on local stuff like restaurants and things) the hotel is around Cole Harbour near Dunsmire and Burrard I think it was.(I'd have to look again... I'm not the greatest at finding my way around Vancouver) |
