This is a tough one. Usually the company pays 3 times what the employee does in an insurance plan. I think from the employee's view it looks bad, but from the emplolyer's view its better if the employee's don't take the plan. I think it's nice that the company offers to pay you if you don't take the plan, most I've seen just don't take the money out of your check, they don't give the employee any of the money that would have otherwise been sent to the health insurance company. I guess in this case it's a damned if you do and damned if you don't on the side of the employeer. -misguided -- discriminated against because I am a single white guy with no kids, and no good tax deductions.
