Question of the Day! by kickstart2001-11-09 00:00:06
Just a little weird, vendictive computers. by pecosdave 2001-11-09 04:26:40
I have had many "paranormal experiences" that I'm not going to put into writing to protect myself. How ever I feel that these are safe to mention because an explanation can be had.

When my current roommate still had his old apartment I was hanging out over there one day. He had a couple of desk shoved in the living room with slightly old computers that I and others had given him. He was done playing Realms of Exile for a while and was going to watch TV. He poured himself a large glass of orange juice and the desk being next to the couch set his drink in front of the Packard Bell. He never touched the computer itself, the keyboard or the mouse, and no one was at eaither computer. Three seconds after he sat down and took his hand off of the juice the CDROM tray popped open and spilled his drink all over the place. I watched this from another couch in the room that was further back from the TV, there is absolutely no reason this should have happened. Most people just say it's because Packard Bells are evil, he explained that every since he put up a flaming skull as the wall paper the computer got a mind of it's own. I don't know how to explain it but it just happened.

The next one, though not as dramatic, freaked me out when I was a little kid. I had a Texas Instruments Speak and Spell. It had a set vocabulary of what it could say and it wouldn't say anything else. It was low on batteries and I kept trying to turn it on, at which time it usually just made an electronic tone. Mine in a very low but still loud sounding voice screamed "Noooooooo" and shut down.

As for the other experiences, I usually don't have a problem with discussing them in person but I'm not going to publish them in any written or recorded form. To many people know both me and my handle, and Pecos was a small town so it's not hard to figure it out. As for the Packard Bell, I did't give him that one and now that he lives with me it's mostly disassebled and scattered about the apartment.
