any knife with a blade over 3 1/4 inches, I believe, is considered illegal, if concealed.
On the other hand, you can walk down the street with a claymore, or a shotgun, as long as they aren't concealed. (Some city ordinances would probably have something to say about the latter, at least.)

And um, just how would you go about concealing something over 6 ft, anyway?
