Deja vu, for one. About 15 to 30 times a year I have a deep explicit dream about something, a conversation with someone usually, sometimes finding something I or someone else has lost, driving somewhere or going somewhere new. And usually within the next month that dream occurs.
My family owns a house in Tahoe which I have always believed to be haunted. Recently the activity has died down a little but it used to be pretty scary. No levitating objects, that I've seen, or ghostly apparationgs, but mostly cold spots, reoccuring nightmares, and sounds. The nightmares are odd because they are all pretty much the same, and only occur when you sleep in one room of the house, and they happen to EVERYONE who sleeps in that room.
I have family in Ventura California who used to own a rollerskating rink, Roller Gardens if anyone has heard of it. Well that place was FREAKY! Late at night when the customers had gone home you could still hear the sounds of children playing on the main floor. The cash register would slide across the counter unassisted, so would the soda machine, and some of the video games. There were also a number of instances in the back storage rooms with a shadowy apparition that plagued my uncle.
Well, for anyone out there who believes in "energies" psychic, psychotic or whatever you call them ( check the Celestine Prophecy ). I constantly use my "energies" while driving to find me parking when I get to my destination. This may not sound like much, but I can 9 times out of 10 get parking anywhere I want at any time of day, even in San Francisco :). These "energies" also come in handy when trying to indirectly exact revenge on people, but I've never done that *giggle*.
Ah, the last but not least. When I was 5 I had a nightmare about a bulldozer trying to run me over. It wasn't the bulldozer that scared me though, it was the sound coming from it. I can't really describe what the sound was exactly, though "Souls Screaming" comes to mind. I can't stand it, it makes my blood run cold and my body shut down, its like a waking nightmare. A close approximation to it is the sound coming from the ebony obelisk from the beginning of 2001:A Space Oddessy, this deterred me from watching this movie for quite a while. Anyways, I've heard this sound on a number of occasions throughout my life, and it has always accompanied something bad occuring, the death of a good friend, the earthquake of '89, the Oakland Hills Firestorm, and my dad hitting a deer while riding his motorcycle ( luckily he lived ).
Maybe I'm just crazy, or maybe I live an exciting life.
Lets see ... what other things have I seen :) |
