Question of the Day! by kickstart2001-11-09 00:00:06
  Only once that I couldn't explain. by Blackbyrd2 2001-11-09 00:11:30
Working the front desk at a hotel, we also did coat checks for the lounge.
I hung a coat on a hangar, placed it on the closet hangar rod, and let go, whereupon it rapidly slid itself about 4 feet down the rod to the other end of the closet.
I'd been working at this hotel, doing the same thing for 5 years, and had never seen anything like this before.
I'd been hearing from one of the housekeepers that she'd seen a 'ghost' appear in the laundry room when she was there alone. She said she was working at the desk, and looked up to see this freaky looking guy standing in front of the window. (An interior window between the office and the laundry) All the doors were locked, and no one could have gotten in. She said he disappeared after she looked up. I dismissed it as overactive imagination, then this happened about two weeks later.
I'm sure ghost stories abound in places like that. I am an extremely skeptical person when it comes to spook stories, but I never could figure an explanation for this 'coat trick'.
