Greetings...
... gosh, if Sid is an old-timer (I'm nearly as old as he looks :-),
then he should be very deeply involved in MUDs (MultiUser
Dungeons), MUSHes and MOOs etc.
You might very dimly remember the online multiuser TEXT
adventures... derived from the original Dungeon/ Adventure/
Zork single person games.
I should know, playing MUDs over our institute's mainframe
(a Convex) and the dinky 56kb line (for thousands of people)
prevented me from writing my thesis, but helped me become
a Unix Sysadmin :-)
