Pardon the plug, but it's seemed ok
My housemate is currently running his 3rd annual Nethack Tournament. Sign up is completely free, with no banners or selling of names or anything(you do need to set up an account so we know who got the high score at the end), it's not commercial, it's just for fun. It goes until the end of the month. After which top scores for each character class get posted on the site. We have 4 servers up handling games .We have already had at least a thousand games played. Last year winners included people from Korea.
