...still needed DOS to boot, last time I had it. It's not pure Java, but it does come with a GUI that's written entirely in it. Luckily, you don't have to use the GUI, for it still has the trusty command console. For some reason, we never used their version of DOS on any of our servers - although I've no idea what this reason was. Probably because we played DOOM on the main server whenever we took it down for maintenance at night. ;)
