That's a story I've heard before... One of my friends lives in a sh**hole apt even though he makes between 150-200K a year. He lives on ramen and has weekly poker games where friends lose money to him intentionally so he can afford to put gas in his car and pay his bills. All because his wife divorced him and the courts said he should pay her a disproportionate sum of money in alimony and child support. The clincher, she has a boyfriend and a wealthy family. She doesn't work and now her boyfriend doesn't because they can live happily off of the alimony and child support. And the worst part? They packed up and moved across country with the kid and he can't afford to see his daughter. And he's a very nice guy... And he's been ruined by the divorce and his ex-wife. Ciao, C.Sc.
