Question of the Day! by kickstart2001-11-07 00:00:04
  <bitter>Women</bitter> by ChicoScience 2001-11-07 09:01:20
A couple of weeks ago I was paying bills and looked at my credit card statement. Several hundred dollars spent on dating this one girl. The whole thing lasted about 3 weeks... But as enamoured as I was with her.. combined with the fact that I'm prone to spending money on romantic interests (not that I'm looking for gold diggers or I like to flaunt cash... but I like to treat women to an exceedingly good time, ranging from roses to very nice dinners, etc.)... I spent a pretty good quantity of money on her in a very short amount of time. And, I got kicked to the curb and now she's with an 18 y/o boy who lives down the road from her.. *grumble*

But, I kinda resented sitting there and having to pay off those charges considering the whole thing didn't pan out. I think it would be great if credit cards offered some sort of insurance scheme thing where if you spend money on a date and it doesn't work out, you can decline the charges. Personally, I think it's brilliant because guys will be more prone to spending money on those credit cards during dates...

Ultimately, I calculated how much I spent on her cash and credit (dinners, flowers, concert tickets, clubbing, bar hopping, etc)... And I came up with a figure that could have easily gotten me several nights with one of them high-class 'paying-my-way-through-grad-school' hookers... at least then I would have gotten some and avoided getting emotionally attached for nothing.

Curses...</bitter>

Ciao, C.Sc.
