    Arcanum..you are full of crap by logicgate1968 2001-11-07 08:34:32
I am a Microsoft Tech Support Agent...in the time I have been working for this company I have yet to see a single person denied the right to re-activate. In fact even when a computer glitch requires re-activation and the activation database denies the activation I have only to enter the registry and reset a single data string to force a PID to be generated and allow the re-activation. And even in those cases MS authorizes me to refund any cost of call or fees charged for the call.
NOT SO MUCH AS ONCE has MS denied an activation on a legitimate product. And it has been announced that any product will be allowed to be activated as needed for the life of the product.
With Microsofts "minus 2" policy it is very doubtful that any single person will ever find they cannot re-activate a product over the next decade.
The "minus 2" policy means that we support any product version and its 2 immediate predecessors(sp?)....thus we will support WinXP/ME/98/2000/NT4.0 as well as OFFICE XP/2000/97....and there is not policy in place to prevent activation at anytime unless there is definate proof that the product has been pirated.
