Well, there's Forte Agent, which costs money or Xnews which is free and super tweakable, but uses external programs for 'preview'... (at least the last time I used it; at home I use trn/Linux ;) ) PS, "how to combine multi-part binaries with OE" is probably the most asked newsreader-related question in binaries groups, so you probably already classify as an advanced newsreader user... ;-P
