| I just got my parents to mail me a Hungarian cookbook from home. The first thing I made was "Marhapörkölt" (I don't know what to call it in English, it isn't goulash). It is cubed beef, lots'o'onions and paprika & some vegies - the onions and the beef are first browned, then the whole lot has to simmer until almost all of the water is gone... and the onions and paprika turn into a fairly thick sauce... and it tastes really, really nice...
...Arrgh, I haven't had breakfast yet, and my digestive system has switched into overdrive just from thinking at Hungarian food...
I'm absolutely starving, gotta eat something. |
