SLEDGEHAMMER!!! That way you can make it pop and fizz all you want! You can even go and see if there are any parts you can use when you're done to blow up later. It helps when things like incompetent instructors giving Electromagnetics and Communications tests start getting you irritated. Old laptops from surplus (or your company's/institution's equivalent) work just as well. I personally liked wasting the 250uF caps out of an old linear amplifier we found one day. They make BIG noises!
