So, there I was, minding my own business,... by special_ed2001-11-05 08:51:54
I remember what that is like... by Arienadean 2001-11-05 13:10:25
people presume there aren't other things on the menu you can eat so why would you go there... or they forget you have non vegan/vegitarian friends who may of went there. Depending on the type of vegitarian some will eat eggs, fish, and dairy... then there are those that will also eat poultry... and of course the more strict ones that wont eat any meat product(or dairy). But restaurants have salads, fish, chicken, pasta, etc not just red meats... So if a person that is of one diet goes with another of another diet unless its a vegan specific restaurant they'll both find something and people might be oblivious from watching if one is vegitarian necisarily... Burgerking makes soy burgers which I used to eat, and I had fish before at other places...<shrug> And just if you've been at a place no matter what your diet you can see whats around you and if it looks like crap, smells like crap, service is hell, etc that tends to be obvious.

Oh and you can make many mock dishes that are vegitarian that don't tast too bad or look to diffrent... its just a matter of finding decient recipies or adapting existing ones. so :P to your friend that made the comment(re Dave)

Btw my current diet is what I guess they call "flexatarian" sometimes I eat vegan stuff sometimes I eat meat stuff.(tho generally not alot of redmeat... and not alot of dairy/eggs due to allergies)
