The Green Card
Depardieu is a Frenchman in the US. Culture shock and all that. He can't understand why people would eat birdseed if they could have decent food (a nice steak?). So to him, "vegetarian" is an insult. Actually, I somewhat agree. I mean, if humans evolved to eat plants, our digestive systems would be different and we wouldn't need protein to live, which we do.
Now, I don't mean to say that vegetarians shouldn't exist. If you want to do that, fine by me. More steak for the rest of us... |
