i've had problems with some linux drivers. the motherboard in my linux box has onboard sound .. although it does have linux drivers (on the cd from the board manufacturer, no less!) they don't work all that wonderfully. the sound is skippy and laggy .. and i didn't have that problem when using the onboard sound when i had windows on it. and really, what would you rather have, a piece of hardware thats totally useless because it has no drivers, or a piece of hardware that works with occasional problems?
