Also in that same letter he explains the difference in creating ... ie Sauron never actually /created/ the uruk-hai but rather bred a different race from the regular orcs (who were in turn a pervertion of humans) It goes all the way back to the ainulindale; melko(r) didn't invent the disharmony, he just didn't follow the theme and accords. Which draws a parallel with MS (Melkor/Sauron?), they never invented anything, just stole it and perverted it. (so that their products might make havoc on this world.)
