"And that makes id good? Didn't know that. Guess now I have to change my view about all people being equal, never minding where they are located."
Very good. People are not equal.
"> It employs tens of thousands of people directly.
Okay, right. Just like for nearly any other company. Employing people is a fine thing, but as they make their money through them... Oh, cancel that. I haven't heard of layoffs recently, that's a good point.
Only that they don't need to have layoffs only by their megalithic market domination :) "
They make their money through their employees, and their employees make their money through MS. Nice arrangement. Note the topic of my message was "non-negative" not "unique" or "superior".
"> It employs millions indirectly.
_Millions_??? "
<sigh> how many copies of Windows and other MS products are in the world? How many people use those products to do their job? How many use those products to create other products? How many people are employed getting those products to the people using the products? Indirectly, millions.

See the first line, but isn't it based in Redmond?"
Redmond is in Washington, last I checked. Maybe I'm mistaken? Yes, it's good that it's an American company, and it's even better that it's located so far away I'm not tempted to throttle the CEO :)
